Being consistent in staying healthy has proven to be quite a challenge. It is difficult to keep on when the work is tedious and repetitive. As of late, as wellness has become very important, people have found a way to make working out fun and interesting. Although we know it's hard to be straining your muscles and sweating it out, it is quite an experience if you are grooving to the music while you're at it.

There are two ways that one can swing and groove to the music. You can bring out the giant speakers and the powerful woofers and have a blast. Unless you have soundproofing or better yet live alone in the wilderness, the neighbors wont be appreciative of that. Best way to have that rush privately would be through the use of head and earpieces. Technology has come a long way; now you can have the luxury of banging to the groove as you work out without disturbing others even when you're with company.

Choosing the right earphones needs a bit of consideration. It may surprise you that there are actually some thought that you need to do in finding the right piece for you. There are regular headphones, water resistant headphones, sweat resistant pieces, and there are some that works at temperatures as low as ten degrees; perfect for winter sports athletes. I've heard that they are now selling sport optimized fit earphones. An answer to my falling earphone problem.

You might want to consider the weight and color of an earphone. Are they the right one for your lifestyle? are they manly, or feminine? Would they go well with your clothes. Do they make you look good? Personally i wouldn't care much but i know of someone who would.

One of the problems I have with my earphones is the cables. I have many pieces because I prefer different lengths on different occasions. Some of them have long cables, and they get caught up with anything all the time. Some are a bit short that when I move it falls off my ear or gets disconnected from my ipod.

Audio is quite important to me as I am also a singer. It has to produce the audio quality that i want. I like strong bass tones and i want to hear a clear separation of the high and midtones. If you are like me, you would want the volume to be really up there.

The freebies can really hype up the gadget's value. There are those that come with rubber casings and magnetic clasps; very handy when you wanna get them in a hurry or when you are wearing gloves. There are earphones that have attached clips which i find very useful when i wanna keep the cables in place.

Despite the complexities of finding the right gear for me, they are there to help me in a big way. I need to stay healthy, I need to stay fit consistently. These pieces diminutive as they may be has kept me working, has kept me healthy, and has kept me alive.

In the last decade, mountain biking exploded in popularity. It's healthy, fun, exciting, and a wonderful way to see the outdoors and keep you fit. It's enjoyed all over the world by people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels.

Naturally, more demand brings more choices. Today, when there is so many manufacturers, brands, types, shapes and sizes, it can be quite difficult to choose a bike that suits you the best. Hopefully, this short guide will help you out.

The first thing you need to decide on is what type of bike will you buy. Will that be for off-road riding, will you need full suspension, front suspension or no suspension. Bikes are designed for different terrains and purposes. Before buying you should know what kind of riding will you do.

The second step is choosing the size. Size is important and you must get a bike that fits you. Here is a general guide depending on your height: 15" bikes or less are for people shorter than 5'4", 17" normally fits people that are between 5'4" and 5'11", 19" are for people between 5'11" and 6'2", and 21" and up are for people taller than 6'2".

You can spend a lot of money on a mountain bike, so it's good to have your budget set before buying. You don't want to spend more than is necessary, but you don't want to be cheap either. Remember, you get what you pay for. The best time to buy is in the fall when next year's models come out. When new stock arrives, old stock is cleared and prices drop.

The goal is to get the highest quality bike in your price range. You should look carefully at the bike's components like brakes, brake levers, shift levers, derailleurs and so on. If you think that a full-suspension bicycle for $150 is a quality bike, think again. With poor-quality components you won't get very far.

Biking gear is also essential. Don't forget a helmet, water bottle, speedometer, gloves, glasses and a decent pair of padded biking shorts. Trust me, your behind will be thankful.

The history of softball. Have you ever wondered where it all began?

I can tell you that softball originated from Chicago, on Thanksgiving Day, 1887. After a group of about twenty young men had gathered in a Boat Club, to hear the outcome of a football game. After the winner was announced, a man picked up a boxing glove left on the side and threw it at someone...who then hit it away with a pole.

A man named George Hancock is known in the history of softball, as the man who shouted, "Let's play ball!" He tied the boxing glove into a ball shape, drew out a diamond on the floor and found a broom handle to use as a bat.

That is how the idea of the game of softball was born. Now, how did this twisted version of baseball grow into the sport that it is today?

An over-sized ball, a slightly smaller bat with a rubber tip on the end and a set of rules for a game he called indoor baseball were later created.

Indoor baseball spread fast internationally. Many played it to keep practicing during the winter months, a great alternative to playing outside in the freezing cold snow! When the weather became warmer, the game was moved outdoors and the new name indoor-outdoor was given to the sport. The sport exploded in popularity and Hancock published indoor-outdoor rules in 1889.

Another important event in the history of softball was when a fireman decided to limit the game to seven innings. This ment that the game lasted about an hour, thus being a perfect game for his fellow firemen to play between fire call-outs.

In 1926, a Denver YMCA official suggested the name softball, and the name stuck. In 1933, softball was introduced to the rest of the world when it travelled with the world's fair.

An important year in the history of softball was 1933. This was when the Amateur Softball Association was founded. The association brought standardized rules to the game, including rules about different age groups, sizes of balls and sizes of pitches.

In 1939, softball was introduced to Australia and Canadians introduced softball to the Netherlands after the Second World War. Later in 1962, softball was introduced to the United Kingdom, the first British womens softball league was established in 1983.

The first womens fast-pitch world championships in the history of softball were played in 1965 and the first mens world championships in the history of softball were played a year later in Mexico City. Softball world championship tournaments have been played every four years since 1970, and in 1996, womens softball became an Olympic medal event.

Today, million's of people around the world play the game of softball...me included!
